Martha T. Lipton (the failed actress) is a middle aged and recently divorced performer from Fresno, California. Her passion for the stage is matched only by her enthusiasm for creating innovate performance pieces for us “regular people.”

Performing mostly in nightlife venues (bars and drag clubs) and occasionally clamoring for attention on the vast inter-web, Martha shares with her adoring fans practical skills such as “How to Fold a Towel” and “How to Audition for CATS” as well as more traditional “4th wall” performances including her original “Thy Apple Tree Hath Created Fruit” performed in period garb and “Pop Goes Martha!” in which she played a piece of popcorn.

Often Martha collaborates with other artists and friends she admires. Her infamous Martha T. Lipton Performance Ensemble is currently on the look out for new members. Martha is a regular at SOMETHING, a Friday night party at The Stud (Harrison St. at 9th) in San Francisco, CA.

Some roles Martha is still crossing her fingers she gets a chance to play (know anyone at A.C.T.?) are: Cleopatra, Glenda the Good Witch and Annie Oakley in “Annie Get Your Gun.”
